Welcome to Beaver Lodge in Powassan.
Beaver Lodge built in 1952, has changed over the years. Every
owner built new additions to the motel and improved its quality.
Once called the Sunset Motel, you can still enjoy beautiful
sunsets from your heated room or sitting outside on a warm summer
night.
In 1993, a large dining room was added to the restaurant to
accommodate small family reunions, birthday parties, Christmas
parties and more. The Powassan area, consisting of Chisholm
Township and the towns of Trout Creek and Powassan are places
of Heritage, culture and recreation.
Seasonal highlights of Powassan which just celebrated its
centenarian are the Pancake-Maple Syrup Festival, the Fall
Fair, the Santa Claus Parade and the Dickens Christmas Festival.
Furthermore a lot of competitions are held over the year in
the Powassan and Trout Creek Arenas, competitions in Ice skating,
Hockey, Baseball and other sports. Trout Creek judges annually
the best dogs in a big dog show.
Powassan,
Trout Creek and Chisholm have many trails for Snowmobiling,
Hiking, Biking and Cross country skiing. A public beach for
cooling down on hot summer days and a public boats launch
to start fishing trips, are conveniently located within 3
minutes.
The Beaver Lodge is also a great place to start a tour in
the Algonquin Park one of the most beautiful Provincial Parks
in Ontario.
